[(Title)] Newsrooms across the US hold moment of silence for Annapolis shooting victims

The shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper, which left five dead and several others wounded, has sparked solidarity among journalists around the U.S. who describe the shooting as the realization of their greatest fears.

《首都公报》的枪击事件造成5人死亡，数人受伤，这引发了美国各地记者们的团结，他们称枪击事件是他们最担心。

The moment of silence was held on Thursday at 2:33 p.m, exactly one week after the shooting began in the Capital Gazette newsroom.

"We are one family, and we will mourn the dead and honor the Capital Gazette staff with a moment of silence at 2:33 p.m. today,"  proclaimed a full-page spread in Ohio's Columbus Dispatch newspaper on Thursday.

The Baltimore Sun Media Group, which owns the Capital Gazette, hosted a press conference calling for the commemoration of the victims and their families.

The accused Capital Gazette shooter, Jarrod Ramos, had reportedly nursed a vendetta against the newspaper for seven years before last week's shooting.

He sued the paper for defamation in 2012 and allegedly sent threatening messages to the staff after the paper printed a column about a criminal harassment charge against him. A judge threw out the case.

Ramos is currently being held without bond on five counts of murder.

Ramos's history of threats against the paper prompted journalists to share their own experiences of harassment on social media following last week's shooting.

One BuzzFeed journalist shared threatening emails he has received during his time at the job, including one that says,  "You know you're easy to locate, right?"

Alfredo Carbajal, president of the Association of News Editors (ASNE), said the group promoted the moment of silence Thursday to commemorate the journalists who were lost and to highlight "that sometimes what we do is dangerous,
