[(Title)] Wooden boardwalk collapses during seaside concert in Spain, injuring more than 300 people.

Hundreds of people were hurt, two seriously, when a wooden esplanade collapsed at a seaside music festival in north-west Spain, local authorities said.

The incident, at the O Marisquino festival in the town of Vigo, left 316 people injured — but there were no reports of any fatalities.

Nine of those hurt are still in hospital and two are in the intensive care unit, but their lives are not in danger, a government spokesman said.

Vigo Mayor Abel Caballero said the platform that collapsed just before midnight was 30 metres long and 10 metres wide.

People attending the concert said the crowd was enjoying the music when they heard the boardwalk breaking.
